I wanted to improve my vocabulary and the way I use the English language. I am teaching students who are also not speaking the language, so it is difficult for them to understand the lessons. One of the greatest achievements I've had was to acquire the TESOL Certification.

I had experiences teaching in a community college locally, but we’re facing a foreign client so they have their set of qualifications. Sometimes we also have to value what the other side needs or requires, and one of which is an international certification. To continue teaching, therefore take the ATI program.

Taking ATI's Advanced TESOL Program opened great opportunities for me. It nurtured my mind with great ideas about English teaching. With my TESOL certificate, it was easy for me to find jobs here in Thailand and process my visa.

I was looking for a program that fit my schedule; when I saw ATI's online course, I did not think twice. The TESOL Certificate is an additional advantage for me who aspires to teach young minds and help them learn essential skills they will be needing in the future. I'm now confident to apply for a teaching position in my dream country.

The program helped me improve my English language (skills) and gave me a good start in an ESL teaching career since most ESL companies prefer teachers who have TESOL certificates.

The Tulong Trabaho program gives Filipinos the training and skills they need to find a reliable and respectable career. [....] As a certified professional teacher, this program has helped me discover my true calling in life which is to become an effective teacher and reach my full potential. Through this training I was able to improve my skills to instruct English language learners and better comprehend their cultural backgrounds.

When I started working in the ESL field, I didn’t have the confidence to apply to high-paying organizations. However, now that I’m TESOL certified, I feel comfortable doing so.

I can say that I am now prepared to work as a full-time ESL teacher thanks to all the wonderful concepts I have acquired (in the Tulong Trabaho Scholarship Program). After completing TESOL II, I’m hoping to use the knowledge I gained during the program into my teachings.

I've learned a lot throughout all the sessions we had over a month. I’ve learned about the many different types of learners, different learning styles, (and) the varying factors we have to consider when teaching a language to second language learners. I’ve also learned about some strategies and techniques on how to manage learners in a classroom setting.

It (TESOL II) gives every scholar the chance to learn new techniques and ways to effectively manage both online and offline classroom setups. It also helped scholars have free training and free learning. [...] I know from what I have learned, I’ll be able to use this in my classes in the future. This program also allows me to see the areas that I need to improve on and the areas I am good at.

Ineensure ng (team behind) TTSP yung success ng program. Na yung mga magtatapos ay mag-uupskill at magiging mas competent. [...] I know for sure na magagamit ko yung TESOL II pag nakapag isip ako in the future na I will work abroad as an English teacher. What I really like about the Tulong Trabaho Scholarship Program is the fact that it’s free and accessible for everyone. Regardless of your education background or where you live in the Philippines, as long as you meet the qualifications and submit the necessary requirements, then you can be a recipient of the scholarship program. [...] This program has helped me understand more about the profession of teaching and how to become a more effective teacher. I now understand that classroom teaching is entirely different from ESL teaching.

Through the program, I had the privilege of learning from highly-experienced instructors who are not only experts in their field, but also passionate about how they share their knowledge. They provided us with comprehensive insights into the latest teaching methodologies and strategies, and gave us the tools to become effective language educators.

The program made me realize that teaching is not one-sided and that there’s always a way to help struggling learners catch up. I didn’t only learn how to teach English to foreign language speakers, I also learned how to teach myself as a learner of a foreign language. I also gained newfound respect for all educators who hold the values of teaching to heart and I believe it’s because of the wide scope of experiences and backgrounds from my trainer and my fellow participants that helped create those meaningful experiences in the program.
